The PMax is incredibly bright while still only using 12 watts of power. At 800 Lumens the intensity of the 3 x 4 watt LEDs working at full power fills the visual area with light that is much whiter than any Halogen or HID system. Step it down to half power for more than adequate lighting around town, or use the power saving 3 watt steady or flash mode. Whether it be racing or commuting this light will handle any situation. design have resulted in a 'Forced Air - Cooling' headlight which maximises the natural cooling action of airflow whilst riding, quickly removing heat away from the LED's, much like you car radiator. Our triple triangular stacked LED's keeps the headlight foot print narrow at the bracket mount which ensures that airflow can uniformly travel unobstructed around the headlights whole heat sink. This design also takes up less handle bar space and allows for a protective under bar mounting on most bikes.
